Bigg Boss 17 fame Ayesha Khan will soon be seen in a Marathi film. News18 Showsha has exclusively learnt that she is all set to step into the world of cinema with a film, months after her stint in the controversial reality show. A source close to the social media sensation has informed us that Ayesha has already shot for the film which is likely to release in October this year.
“Yes, it is right. Ayesha is transitioning to mainstream cinema with her upcoming lead role in a Marathi film, whose title is yet to be revealed,” a source close to the Bigg Boss 17 fame to us.
“She dedicated 2 to 2.5 months to shooting for the film in a village near Pune. Demonstrating her commitment to her craft, Ayesha learned to speak a different dialect of Marathi for her role, adding authenticity to her performance. The film’s release is scheduled tentatively for October this year but I am not aware when makers are officially planning to announce the film and its release date,” the insider added.
Ayesha Khan became a household name earlier this year when she entered the Bigg Boss 17 house as a wild card contestant. The show was won by Munawar Faruqui with Abhishek Kumar as the first runner-up.
After her Bigg Boss 17 journey, Ayesha was also seen in a music video titled Khaali Botal. Also featuring Abhishek Kumar, Singer Parampara Tandon lent her voice to the track, while Manan Bhardwaj penned the lyrics and composed the music. The video shows the tension between the lead pair as it is based on the themes of love, violence, betrayal and complexity in relationships.
Meanwhile, Ayesha Khan has also been making waves in South Indian cinema, grabbing headlines with her work. She captivated audiences with her special dance number in Krishna Chaitanya’s ‘Gangs of Godavari,’ displaying her amazing dance skills, charm, and poise. Additionally, her special appearance in the Telugu film ‘Manamey’ also garnered much praise.
