The Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has officially released a notification on March 14th for the recruitment of 4000 Assistant Professors in Government Arts and Science Colleges and Colleges of Education. Aspiring candidates seeking appointment as Assistant Professors in Government Colleges of Tamil Nadu can access the application form on the official website of TN TRB at https://trb.tn.nic.in/ from March 28 to April 29. While April 29 is currently designated as the application deadline, there remains a possibility of an extension later.
For eligibility in the TN TRB recruitment, candidates must possess a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant subject and have passed the NET exam. Additionally, candidates should not exceed 57 years of age, with age calculated as of July 1, 2024.
The recruitment process conducted by the Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board includes a written examination and interview for Assistant Professor positions. The written examination carries a weightage of 200 marks, with candidates required to appear in two papers. The first paper, worth 100 marks, consists of two sections, each containing 50 questions. Notably, 25 questions will pertain to the Tamil language and the remaining 25 will focus on general knowledge and current affairs. Candidates will be allotted one hour to complete the examination.
Candidates who had previously applied and paid fees in response to Notification No.12/2019 dated 28.08.2019 and 04.10.2019 for the TN TRB Assistant Professor position are exempt from paying online application registration fees when reapplying.
