The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway (WR), has commenced the application process for apprentice posts. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the positions by visiting the official website of RRC WR at rrc-wr.com. It is to be noted that the registration process will remain open till October 22 (5 PM). Under this recruitment drive, the Railway Recruitment Cell is aiming to fill up a total of 5,066 apprentice posts in the organisation.
RRC WR Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the apprentice posts, candidates must have completed matriculation or Class 10 under the 10+2 education system, securing at least 50 per cent aggregate marks from a recognised board. Moreover, an ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT is mandatory. It is to be noted that those awaiting SSC/ITI results as of the notification date are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Applicants interested in these positions should be between 15 and 24 years of age as of October 22, 2024.
RRC WR Recruitment 2024: Application Fee
Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 100 as an application fee at registration. However, candidates falling under Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories and women candidates are exempted from paying the fee. RRC WR Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a merit list, which will be prepared considering the average percentage of marks by applicants in both the matriculation (minimum 50 percent aggregate) and ITI examination, with equal weight given to each. The final selection of applicants will be subject to verification of original documents and a Medical Fitness Certificate.
RRC WR Recruitment 2024: Documents Required
— SSC (standard 10th) or its equivalent Mark Sheet.
— Certificate for date of birth proof (Standard 10 or its equivalent certificate/ mark sheet indicating date of birth or School Leaving Certificate indicating date of birth).
— Consolidated ITI mark sheet of all semesters of the trade in which applied/ Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
— National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.
— Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC applicants
— Disability certificate, in case of PwBD applicants
— Discharge certificate/serving certificate
RRC WR Recruitment 2024: Stipend
Selected applicants engaged as apprentices will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of one year. They will be paid a salary during the training at the prescribed rate according to the existing rules governed by the concerned state government.
