The annual academic calendar has been issued by the Rajasthan education department, marking a significant development in the state’s educational landscape. As per the academic calendar this year, there will be 152 holidays out of 365 days, including Sundays. School will be open for only 213 days, excluding the holidays. The education department has also declared the second and fourth Saturdays of every month as No Bag Day. Since summer vacations are over and now students have started attending school once again, the education department has released the academic calendar for the government and private schools in Rajasthan. This year, the key highlights in the holiday schedule include long breaks during major festivals such as Diwali, Christmas, along with winter vacations. The holiday for Diwali will begin from October 27 and last till November 7. Similarly, the winter holidays are going to begin from December 25 and will continue till January 5.

The education department has also announced the examination schedule in the calendar. According to this, the first test will begin from August 21 to 23. The second test will start from October 14 to 16.

The half-yearly examinations will be held from December 12 to December 24 this year. The annual examination, according to the calendar, will be conducted from April 24 and continue till May 8. The result will be declared on May 16.

The new session in the government as well as private schools affiliated to the education department will begin from July 1 2025. The private schools will begin the session from April 1. Holidays will be declared in schools as soon as the results are declared, before this.
