Railways Jobs Alert: Applications to Open for 11,558 Vacancies; Check Out Who Gets Age Relaxation
Candidates applying for 11,558 railway positions will be required to pay an application fee, which will be refunded to them at the examination centre

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is set to offer a great opportunity for government job seekers with the release of 11,558 new positions in the RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024. Applications will open on September 14.

As candidates prepare to apply, it is essential to understand the various concessions available for different categories. Government jobs often come with concessions for different categories, such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, who are eligible for age relaxations and other benefits.

The RRB NTPC recruitment drive includes two types of vacancies: one for graduate-level candidates and another for undergraduate-level candidates. There are 8,113 positions available for those with a graduate degree and 3,445 positions for those with a Class 12 education.

Applications for graduate-level positions will open on September 14, while the application process for undergraduate-level positions will begin on September 21. Candidates aged between 18 and 36 years are eligible to apply for graduate-level posts, whereas those aged between 18 and 33 years can apply for undergraduate-level positions.

The RRB NTPC has announced recruitment for various positions, including Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, Train Clerk, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Goods Train Manager, Chief Commercial-cum-Ticket Supervisor, Senior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Account Assistant-cum-Typist, and Station Master.

For the RRB NTPC recruitment, age relaxation is available for candidates across various categories. OBC candidates will receive a three-year age relaxation, while SC and ST applicants are eligible for up to five years relaxation in age.

Candidates from the Persons with Disability (PwD) General category will get a 10-year age relaxation, while OBC PwD candidates will receive 13 years of relaxation, and PwD SC/ST candidates will be granted up to 15 years of age relaxation. Additionally, age relaxations have also been provided for residents of Jammu & Kashmir, and women.

Candidates from SC, ST, ex-servicemen, Divyang (specially abled), women, transgender, minority, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories will be initially required to pay an application fee of Rs 250. However, this amount will be refunded when they appear for their computer-based test (CBT).

General category candidates will need to pay an application fee of Rs 500. After appearing for the CBT, Rs 400 will be refunded to them after deducting the bank charges.
