In Rajasthan’s Dattani Village, Daughter Of Sarpanch Secures AIR 1640 In NEET
The student made her family proud by scoring 701 out of 720 marks in the NEET exam.

The daughter of a Sarpanch of Dattani Gram Panchayat of Sirohi district in Rajasthan has cracked the NEET exam and secured All India Rank 1640. Nandika Agarwal has brought laurels to the family by scoring 701 out of 720 marks in the exam. She wants to become a doctor in the future and serve her native village Dattani. In an exclusive interview with Local-18, Nandika Agrawal revealed that she completed her schooling in Ahmedabad and undertook her NEET preparation at Aakash Institute in the same city. She attained a 99.92 percentile in the NEET exam, achieving an All India rank of 1640 and a General Category rank of 891. In addition to attending coaching sessions in Ahmedabad, Nandika dedicatedly studied for 5-6 hours each day. She encouraged other NEET aspirants to set clear goals and study wholeheartedly.

Nandika’s family has been associated with politics and Dattani village for many generations. Her father Nitish Agarwal is currently the Sarpanch of Dattani Gram Panchayat and also a chartered accountant. He has also been the President of Chartered Accountant Association in the year 2014. Nandika’s grandfather Hirabhai Agarwal was a senior Congress leader and also the Sarpanch of Dattani Panchayat before his son.

Nandika’s great-grandfather served as the deputy sarpanch of the Dattani Gram Panchayat. Currently, her grandmother, Ravibala Agarwal, is a member of the Zila Parishad. Nandika expressed her desire to become a doctor, but she does not want to go anywhere far. Since her family has been serving the village of Dattani for decades, she wants to open up a medical facility in the village itself. She wants to fulfil her grandfather’s dream by serving the needy in her native village and providing them with better medical services.

Approximately 2.4 million candidates participated in the NEET UG test held on May 5 across 571 cities, including 14 centres outside India. The exam sought to fill the 1,08,940 available MBBS seats distributed among more than 700 medical institutions nationwide.
