The University of Delhi (DU) has announced openings for various positions, including Librarian, Non-Teaching and other roles. The recruitment drive, which kicked off on March 16, aims to fill a total of 36 vacancies across various departments. The deadline for submission is set at 15 days from the publication of the advertisement in employment news. DU Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
–– For the positions of Librarian and Director of Physical Education, the maximum age limit adheres to the University of Delhi/UGC norms.
–– The maximum age limit for the Senior Personal Assistant role is set at 35 years. However, age relaxation will be granted as per the University of Delhi/UGC guidelines.
–– Candidates applying for the roles of Assistant, Laboratory Attendant, and Library Attendant should not exceed 30 years of age. Age relaxation will be permitted as per the University of Delhi/UGC guidelines.
–– The maximum age limit for the position of Junior Assistant is 27 years, with age relaxation granted as per the University of Delhi/UGC guidelines.
DU Recruitment 2024: Application Fees
The application fee for unreserved, OBC, and EWS category candidates is set at Rs 500. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwBD categories are exempt from paying the application fee. Notably, women candidates from all categories are exempt from paying any application fees by the rules of the University of Delhi. Also, once fees are paid, they will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Candidates for the aforementioned posts will be selected based on their performance in written tests, skill tests, practical tests, etc.
The recruitment process for the mentioned posts will be subject to approval from both the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the University of Delhi.
In accordance with directives from the Central Government, which have been embraced by the University, the upper age limit prescribed for direct recruitment will be relaxable for candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes (Central List), Persons with Benchmark Disability, Ex-Servicemen, and other specified categories.
