Cricketers are often known to be multi-talented individuals, who often have a creative or artistic side that we are usually not aware of. Take former India bowler Sreesanth, for example, who was known for his silky dance moves. In fact, he even appeared on the popular celebrity dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in 2014. He has acted in as many as five feature films. On Wednesday night (April 3), on the eve of the game between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), another player showcased his talents.
In a reel posted by Gujarat Titans on their official Instagram account, Punjab Kings left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar can be seen singing a Punjabi track ‘PAGG’ for two children, including Ashish Nehra’s son. The song ‘PAGG’ has been crooned by the 28-year-old and was released in December 2023. The video has over a million views on YouTube. Brar was accompanied by Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill as well as GT coach Ashish Nehra.

Harpreet Brar had a fabulous Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023-24 campaign, picking up 15 wickets in 10 games. That form over the last year or so has carried into the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. Brar was sensational in the narrow 4-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where he conceded just 13 runs in his quota of four overs, picking the key wickets of Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell.
Overall, in three games, Brar has bowled 9 overs, conceded 41 runs and picked 3 wickets, which are simply incredible numbers. His impressive line and lengths, and miserly economy rate has garnered widespread praise from former cricketers and pundits, including former England batter Kevin Pietersen. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to convey his thoughts.

Punjab Kings have played three games so far. They opened their IPL 2024 campaign with a solid win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in Mullanpur. However, they have since lost two games in a row which sees them rooted to the 7th spot in the IPL 2024 standings.
Punjab will face Gujarat Titans on Thursday, April 4, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It’s the first time that these two teams will be playing in Ahmedabad.
