'Humbled, Honoured, Privileged': Team India Players Express Gratitude on Meeting PM Narendra Modi With T20WC Silverware
The members of the T20WC winning side visited the India Premier ahead of the open-top bus parade and the celebrations at the hallowed Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, which have been planned in acknowledgement and commemoration of the victory.

Team India met with the honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi after landing on home soil following their historic ICC T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.

The members of the T20WC winning side visited the India Premier ahead of the open-top bus parade and the celebrations at the hallowed Wankhede Satdium on Thursday, which have been planned in acknowledgement and commemoration of the victory.

The PM congratulated the triumphant side led by Rohit Sharma and shared a post that read, “An excellent meeting with our Champions! Hosted the World Cup winning team at 7, LKM and had a memorable conversation on their experiences through the tournament.”

Star seamer Jasprit Bumrah, who led the bowling unit with aplomb posted, “It was an honour to be invited to our honourable Prime Minister’s residence this morning. Thank you so much for your warmth and hospitality sir”

Indian spinner Yuzi Chahal shared an update that read, ““Humbled to meet honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi Sir along with the entire team. Thank you Sir for your encouraging words, means a lot to all of us,”

All-rounder Hardik Pandya posted, “Such a privilege to meet our honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji. Thank you for hosting us sir”

Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant shared an update that read, “Pleasure meeting the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modiji sir”

Pacer Mohammad Siraj posted, “It’s an absolute honour to meet our honourable PM @narendramodi Ji. A moment of pride. Thank you Sir for your kind words and always motivating us. We will continue to work hard to make the India flag fly high. Jai Hind.”

Leggie Kuldeep Yadav shared a post that read, “Honoured to have met our Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Sir, and shared our joy with him. Thank you for hosting us so warmly; we were truly touched”

The title was India’s second T20 WC Crown following the men in blues’ victory in the inaugural edition of the tournament under the leadership of the charismatic MS Dhoni back in the year 2007.
