The markets have shown some recovery and again moved in the green.

New Delhi: The markets have shown some recovery and again moved in the green. The inflation numbers for the week ended April 28 came in lower at 5.66 per cent versus 5.77 per cent.

At 1506 hrs, IST, the Sensex was up 5.36 points or 0.04 per cent at 13776.59, and the Nifty was up 11.20 points or 0.28 per cent at 4078.

About 1160 shares have advanced, 1302 shares declined, and 74 shares are unchanged. Bajaj Auto, NTPC and Reliance Communication are among the top gainers.

Among the major losers are ACC, HLL and HDFC are among the major losers. Index heavyweight Hindustan Lever was trading at Rs 185.00 down 2.63 per cent from its previous close of Rs 190.00.

Index heavyweight Reliance was trading at Rs 1,581.00 down 0.03 per cent from its previous close of Rs 1,581.40.

Tech major Infosys was trading at Rs 1,999.00 up 1.34 per cent from its previous close of Rs 1,972.50. Cigarette major ITC was trading at Rs 162.20 down 0.76 per cent from its previous close of Rs 163.45.

Refinery major HPCL was trading at Rs 288.95 up 0.26 per cent from its previous close of Rs 288.20.
