Markets open with modest gain on the back of weak cues from the Asian markets.
Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained 62.43 in early trade on Tuesday on sustained buying by foreign as well as domestic funds.
The Sensex, which gained 149 point on Monday, rose further by 62.43 at 15,069.64 in the first five minutes of trading. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 20.65 at 4,394.30 points.
Markets breadth is still in positive with nearly 2,000 stocks in green and over 900 stocks on the decline side. Volume has been relatively lower in today’s trade till now.
The markets opened with modest gain on the back of weak cues from the Asian markets but volume was relatively thinner. Omnitech Info got listed on BSE today at Rs 183.75 versus its issue price of Rs 105.
