The world's most competitive economies based on a survey of over 11,000 business leaders in 125 countries conducted by the World Economic Forum.
India has jumped two ranks from 45 last year to 43 this year. Meanwhile the biggest economy of world, the US has slipped from the top position to sixth position while China slipped from 48th to 54th position in the list of most competitive economies.
The poll aims to examine the range of factors that can affect an economy's business environment and development as it seeks to maintain economic growth - including the levels of judicial independence, protection of property rights, government favoritism in policy-making and corruption.
