New Delhi: Congress leaders are expected to present their wish-list for the Union Budget 2012-13 to Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who will be holding consultations with them on Thursday.
Mukherjee is expected to be told by the partymen to raise the income tax limit, give more allocation to anti-poverty programmes as also duty concessions that would help the common man.
Finance Ministers have been holding consultation with AICC leaders regularly ahead of the Union Budget.
Mukherjee has already held discussions with various stakeholders including industry and commerce bodies and representatives of farmers.
State Finance Ministers will also meet here on March 3 to suggest steps for increasing the ambit of the service tax net with a view to garnering more resources.
This year due to Assembly elections in five states, the Union Budget would be presented on March 16.
