Defending champions England will be looking to redeem themselves as they take on Australia in their upcoming World Cup game in India. The English have failed to produce good results on Indian soil, winning just a single game at the tournament so far. Their only victory had come against the bottom-placed Bangladesh who have already been eliminated from the competition. In their last game, England conceded a 100-run humiliation against India thanks to a phenomenal showing from Indian pacers. Mohammed Shami scalped four while Bumrah added three wickets to his tally to secure a dominant win for the host side. With almost no chances of making the playoff stage, the Englishmen will be eyeing to win the rest of their fixtures to move up the table. However, taking down Australia is going to be quite the challenge.
The two cricket sides will square off at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on November 4. Australia have bounced back to good form after a poor start at the tournament. Having conceded back-to-back losses against Australia and South Africa, they were able to stitch together a four-match winning run. They will be looking to make the playoffs with hopes of taking down the defending champions in their upcoming fixture.
