Ahmedabad’s culinary scene has always been known for its adventurous spirit when it comes to mixing unusual ingredients into dishes. Whether it’s the fusion of Panipuri with Kadhi or the bizarre ice cream and cheese sandwich, the creative minds in this city spare no effort in concocting unique food blends that, unfortunately, often result in culinary blunders, leaving foodies in despair. This sentiment was echoed once again when a video surfaced on the internet featuring a woman preparing Nutella Cheese Pasta on the streets, and it seemed like no one was brave enough to give it a try.

The video, posted on Instagram page @the_fingerlicking_tales, featured a young lady selling Nutella Cheese Pasta at Cept Khau Gali in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. The process began with the traditional white sauce pasta-making routine: melting butter in a pan, followed by the addition of flour, a cup of milk, salt, and pasta. However, the unexpected twist came when she generously spooned Nutella on top of the dish followed by some grated cheese and more Nutella, leaving foodies both bewildered and disappointed.

Naturally, the video went viral, prompting a flurry of reactions from the public. One user couldn’t help but question, “Don’t you fear God? Will you sell anything in the name of just selling?” Another user simply exclaimed, “WHYYY.”

Some users tried to salvage the situation with humour, like the third one who suggested, “Look so yummy add pineapple for me visit soon.” Meanwhile, the fourth user proposed, “Add some ketchup too.”

Unsurprisingly, it’s not the first time unusual culinary creations from Gujarat have made headlines. A video of a food vendor selling apple and guava Pakodas went viral earlier. In the video, the vendor thinly sliced the fruits and dipped them in a besan batter with spices and water before deep-frying them. To make matters more perplexing, he topped the dish with ketchup and chopped coriander, which didn’t win over many food enthusiasts.
