Seth Rollins reacted angrily to the shocking return of CM Punk to WWE.

Phill Brooks, aka CM Punk, swept the wrestling world by its feet by making a shocking return to WWE in Survivor Series Saturday night in his hometown of Chicago. It marked Punk’s return to WWE following a nine-year gap. Punk’s comeback not only stunned WWE fans it also did enough to baffle some of the wrestling superstars present at the ringside. Amid rumors of Punk’s future in the wrestling company, a video of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins reacting angrily to the shocking return of the ‘Best in the World’ has now gone viral. In the video, Rollins can be seen flashing middle fingers and trying to attack Punk while referees, announcer Michael Cole and wrestling superstar Corey Graves attempted to prevent the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

It is still not clear whether Seth Rollins’ reaction was part of the storyline. It is being speculated that Rollins was probably reacting in a bid to set up his rivalry with CM Punk. Later, Rollins did talk about Punk.

“Did you guys watch WarGames last night? [crowd chants ‘CM Punk’]. You already know how I feel about that, I said as much last night. I’m not going to waste any more breath on somebody that has been gone for eight years, has done nothing but try and tear this place down,” Seth Rollins said during a live event on November 26.

“Instead, I’m going to take my time and use my breath on talking about the people who have been here all along. That’s everybody in the back who has made WWE the hottest ticket in town. That’s every single one of you who are here tonight. I could end this on a sour note like that, but I don’t want to. You guys have some beautiful singing voices,” Seth Rollins added.

CM Punk’s chances of making a return to WWE snowballed after he was fired by All Elite Wrestling (AEW) earlier this year in August. After leaving WWE in 2014, Punk had joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as well. The 45-year-old became a part of AEW two years back. Punk did not feature in a fight following his return to WWE but his surprising appearance was enough to startle fans.
