Amitabh took to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote in Hindi, “T 4918 Aastha (Faith). Doodh arpan Shivji pe, aur jal arpan Tulsi pe (Offering milk to Shiv ji and water to Tulsi).” He also shared images on X featuring the temple inside his Mumbai home.

In one of the photos, Amitabh could be seen offering milk to a deity and in another, he could be seen offering water to the Tulsi plant. The photos featured a grand, white marble temple in Amitabh’s backyard, adorned with golden bells and accents.

The photos also showed that Amitabh’s temple at home is surrounded by several plants. White marble statues of several deities could also be seen. Amitabh also shared images of the temple in his blog post. Statues of Ram, Laxman and Sita were placed in the centre along with a Shivling.

Amitabh Bachchan visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya earlier this month. This was his second visit since the temple’s grand inauguration in January this year. The veteran actor was seen standing in front of the Ram Lalla idol with folded hands, offering his prayers.

Not only did he visit the temple but also bought property close to the temple premises. It was reported earlier that Amitabh bought a plot of land for a home in Ayodhya. Reportedly, the superstar has acquired a property in The Sarayu, a 7-star mixed-use enclave in Ayodhya, by Mumbai-based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).

A Hindustan Times report stated that, while the builders have kept other details confidential, real estate industry sources claim that the property purchased by the veteran is spread over 10,000 square feet and has a value of Rs 14.5 crores.
