Shocking: Rats Spotted Feeding On Open Food At IRCTC Stall In Viral Video
In the video, the rats can be seen seemingly inspecting the food when there are no humans around, leaving questions about the quality and safety of the edibles.

In a shocking incident, rats were caught on camera enjoying a feast on food placed at a stall in the Itarsi Junction railway station, Madhya Pradesh, sparking concerns about the hygiene and safety of food served to train passengers. The incident came to light when a video surfaced online, showing the pesky rodents nonchalantly walking through plates filled with snacks and containers placed on the ground at the IRCTC stall.

The viral video, shared by a self-proclaimed rail enthusiast and Train wale bhaiya named Saurabh, has garnered attention on social media, with users expressing their dismay over the lack of hygiene control at railway station food stalls. In the video, the rats can be seen seemingly inspecting the food when there are no humans around, leaving questions about the quality and safety of the edibles.

Saurabh, who shared the alarming footage, urged people to double-check hygiene elements before consuming food from railway station vendors. Expressing his caution, he mentioned that he personally avoids eating food from such establishments. The video was uploaded with a humorous caption that read, “Rats on IRCTC food Inspection Duty.”

Railway authorities were quick to respond to the viral video. The Railway Seva handle, on Sunday, assured users that the incident is being investigated, and necessary action will follow from the Bhopal Division of the West Central Railway. The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the said division also commented, stating that the “matter is being notified to concerned officials” to ensure prompt action is taken to address the issue.

This marks another instance in a series of incidents involving rats infiltrating food items. Recently, a video has gained widespread attention, showcasing a man preparing puris. In the footage, the individual is observed frying puris in a pan placed on the floor, adopting an unhygienic approach to the cooking process. Despite being engrossed in his task, a shift in the camera angle reveals the unsettling presence of large rats freely roaming around. To add to the concern, one rat is even captured moving across the vessel containing the flour used for making puris.

This video, originally posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), comes with a caption that serves as a stark reminder, “Please, always check the kitchen of weddings or the local food distribution system; don’t let it become a common sight. This is alarming.”
