It Is Not Every Day You Get To See Anupam Kher Making Jalebis

Anupam Kher is a seasoned actor who has appeared in numerous Hindi and other language films throughout decades. His on-screen performance has yet to be duplicated, and his project selection provides the viewer with unique content. The actor might appear as a serious and hard-core performer, but in real life, he thrives on little everyday adventures. Recently, the actor tried his hands at making one of the popular Indian sweets. While he could not ace the technique, he lauded the chefs for their skills.

Sharing a candid clip on his Instagram handle, Anupam Kher wrote, “Always wanted to try my hands at making Jalebi!! Never imagined that It is tough to go round and round. But I had fun!” In the video, the actor was seen keenly observing the chef who effortlessly made the jalebis. He then tried to follow the steps himself. His fans were quite appreciative of his effort and said, “That’s the jam..always great to see you being hands on.” Another fan commented, “Jiska kaam usiko saje…jalebi banana tedi kheer hai…but koshish karne walle ki haar nahin hoti.”

Meanwhile, professionally, Anupam Kher has a slew of interesting project lined up. Recently, the actor announced his latest project on social media and shared a photo of his look from the film. Anupam Kher will shortly appear in Eisha Marjara’s highly anticipated film Calorie, about the life of a Sikh-Canadian family. The actor made the announcement via Instagram, posting a monochromatic still of his look in the film. He plays Mohan who is portrayed as an elderly Sikh man wearing a turban and sporting a big beard on his face.

Other photos he provided included some of the team members and a still of his script. The caption read, “Happy to share that I have started the shoot of my 540th project! Calorie is an Canadian film directed by critically acclaimed Canadian director Eisha Marjara and produced by Joe Balass. The film is shot in Amritsar and Montreal! The script of this human tragedy tugged at my heart deeply. Some stories need to be told!”

Calorie follows three generations of women who experience hardships on their travels to India, set against the backdrop of the 1985 Air India bombing. Eisha Marjara wrote and directed this picture, and Joe Balass produced it. Anupam Kher was recently seen in Neeraj Pandey’s web series, The Freelancer. He was also part of The Vaccine War.
