WWE RAW: CM Punk Confirms He Will Miss WrestleMania 40 After Tearing His Triceps at Royal Rumble
CM Punk opened WWE RAW revaleing that he suffered an injury during the Royal Rumble and will miss WrestleMania.

WWE Superstar CM Punk opened up on his injury, which he suffered during the Royal Rumble, on WWE Monday Night RAW.

Punk walked out wearing a sling on his right arm. andon the mic confirmed that he tore his right tricep. He went on to say that he will be out for some time and may not make it back in the ring for the Elimination Chamber or even WrestleMania 40.

During the Royal Rumble, Punk had ran into Drew McIntyre shortly after entering the match, when the Scottish Warrior hit him with a DDT. Punk was seen clutching his arm as he rolled to the side.

Punk though managed to stay on in the fight and finished the match, in the end being eliminated by Cody Rhodes – who became the first consecutive Royal Rumble winner in 26 years.

On Monday, Punk said he did not blame anyone and accpeted that he was close to realising his dream of headlinging WrestleMania.

“There’s always next year,” CM Punk said in the end.

According to reports, Punk may be out four to six months and a possile return could be around Backlash in May or Money in the Bank come July.
