The Hyundai Creta facelift, set to go on sale on January 16 is now open for bookings, with a partial reveal providing a glimpse of its updated design.

The bookings for the facelifted Creta opened up on January 2 for Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) ahead of its official market launch, and the majority of its specifications have also been revealed recently.

As anticipated, the 1.5L petrol engine will continue to produce 115 bhp and 144 Nm, the 1.5L diesel engine will produce 116 bhp and 250 Nm, and the new 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine will produce 160 bhp and 253 Nm.

Pre-orders for the new Creta, which will be available on January 16, have already begun through the company’s website and dealerships for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000. Meanwhile, details about the engine and variants have been released ahead of the vehicle’s debut in India, as reported by Autocar.

2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift: Trims & Variants

The country’s second-largest carmaker has declared that the turbocharged petrol engine of the upcoming midsize SUV will only be offered in one fully equipped SX (O) trim level. There will be seven different variant levels available, which are E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O).

Robust Emerald Pearl, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and dual-tone Atlas White with Black Roof are the available paint schemes.Out of the five available powertrain options, only the 1.5 petrol-MT will be standard. Interestingly, the 1.5 turbo-petrol will only be available in a single fully loaded trim and with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine first appeared in the new-generation Verna in 2022, then in the facelifted Seltos last year. This engine will be available only in the top-tier SX(O) trim. Furthermore, this engine will be paired exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. As a result, it is limited to a single variant. This turbocharged petrol engine produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque.

A completely redesigned front face with a new grille and a parametric jewel theme, updated projector LED headlights, H-shaped LED DRLs, and a new bumper are just a few of the notable visual improvements coming to the 2024 Creta. The rear of the vehicle will have reprofiled bumpers and redesigned tailgate housing connected tail lights with H-shaped LED elements.

Interior design changes include a twin-screen layout, redesigned air conditioning vents, HVAC controls with a new touch panel, and new dual-tone shades. The new Creta will have a new touch screen infotainment system, a 360-degree parking camera, a revised instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, six airbags, and Level 2 ADAS active safety features.
