What Shahid Kapoor Has To Say On Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’s Lengthy Title
Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the science fiction romantic comedy film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon.

In recent years, Shahid Kapoor has ventured into diverse and thrilling roles, gradually making a notable entry into the world of OTT. Following his film Bloody Daddy, Shahid Kapoor is now set to return to big screens with the upcoming science fiction romantic comedy film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon. While the film’s intriguing concept has garnered praise, some have noted that its title might be a tad lengthy for the audience to easily remember and say.

Shahid Kapoor, who is not leaving any stone unturned while promoting his film, defended its long title in a new interview. Speaking to Film Companion, Shahid Kapoor said that back when Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge came out, everyone was discussing that the title was a bit long since all the other film titles were like Ghatak, Ghayal, Jeet, and so on. “I remember before the film came out, everybody was discussing that ‘it’s too long, we don’t know what they are saying’ but when you want to make a love story I feel, it’s okay to have slightly longer titles," he said. DDLJ turned out to be a massive success at the box office.

Further delving into the discussion about film titles, Shahid Kapoor mentioned the skepticism surrounding the title of his film Jab We Met, directed by Imtiaz Ali. He recalled, “I remember when I did Jab We Met, everyone was like ‘what is this title?’ Because at that time, this whole thing of Hindi-English, like putting a Hindi and an English word in one title was not a thing," he said before adding that the title is now seen as a “classic".

Coming back to Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’s title, Shahid Kapoor revealed that the film’s team was well-prepared for the anticipated questions and discussions about the title.

The film’s trailer, which has already been released, begins with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon flirting with each other. The narrative takes an unexpected turn when Shahid introduces Kriti to his family, unaware of her true identity as a robot and the significance of her name, Sifra. As the trailer unfolds, Kriti Sanon’s character experiences a sudden shutdown. That is when Shahid Kapoor’s aunt Dimple Kapadia informs him that her battery is dead and she is in charging mode. Shahid is left in shock.
