Rati Agnihotri is one of the most successful Bollywood actresses of the 80s. She is one of those former leading ladies who quietly left the film scene to lead a peaceful life, away from the glitz and glam. According to new reports, Rati Agnihotri’s latest photos have resurfaced on social media, which are now going viral. The now-viral images show the actress posing with her son, actor-model Tanuj Virwani. One of the pictures show Rati Agnihotri sitting at an outdoor restaurant with her son.

Rati Agnihotri started her career with modelling at the age of ten. She made her debut in the film industry with the Tamil movie Puthiya Vaarpugal. It was released in 1979, and was directed by Bharathiraja. Rati was seen alongside K Bhagyaraj and G Srinivasan in the film.

Some of her most notable works include Ek Duuje Ke Liye, which is considered as one of the most iconic Hindi films. It was directed by K Balachander, and starred Kamal Haasan, Rati Agnihotri and Madhavi. Rati received a nomination in the Best Actress category at the 29th Filmfare Awards for her performance. Upon release, it became one of the highest grossing Indian films of the year. Ek Duje Ke Liye was released in 1981.

Rati Agnihotri has also worked with superstar Rajinikanth in the film Kazhugu, also released in 1981. The film was directed by SP Muthuraman and starred Rajinikanth, Rati Agnihotri and Sumalatha.

She has starred in other Hindi films like Farz aur Kanoon, Coolie and Tawaif. Her last project was titled Dictator, a Telugu film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, which was released in 2016.

For the film Tawaif, Rati Agnihotri was nominated for her second Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Released in 1985, the film is directed by BR Chopra. The film had a stellar cast, which included Rishi Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon, Deepak Parashar, Ashok Kumar, Iftekhar, Kader Khan, Asrani, Shashikala and Sushma Seth. The music in the film was composed by Ravi, and it was released on September 6, 1985.

She married Anil Virwani, a businessman and an architect in 1985, but the couple divorced in 2015. They have a son named Tanuj Virwani, who is also an actor.
