'Hardik Pandya Very Important Member of Indian Team, Have to Get The Best Out of Him': Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj admitted that Hardik is an injury-prone player but India need to find a way to get the best out of him.

Legendary India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has backed Hardik Pandya for the T20 World Cup 2023 and said he is pivotal for the team in the mega ICC tournament. Pandya has been out of the Indian team for the past few months after sustaining an ankle injury during the ODI World Cup 2023. The flamboyant all-rounder missed out in the recent T20I series against Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan and is working hard to get fit before the Indian Premier League to get himself ready for the T20 World Cup.

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Hardik also led the Indian team in shortest format last year but the injury has hampered his preparations for the ODI World Cup.

Yuvraj admitted that Hardik is an injury-prone player but India need to find a way to get the best out of him.

“Hardik is a very important member of the team and India need him.”

“He is injury-prone and we need to give him time to recuperate and settle down. We have to get the best out of him. As for captaincy, we need to have more options. There is Suryakumar Yadav, who has been captaining India in T20Is. There is Shubman Gill, who be captain in IPL,” said Yuvraj on Times of India.

The 30-year-old has been concentrating on his road to recovery and has kept his fans regularly posted on his improvements.

Pandya, who has a bustling presence on social media, recently took to Instagram to share a video of his workout montage with a caption that read, “Only one direction to go, forward”

Meanwhile, Pandya will be seen leading Mumbai Indians in the next season of IPL as the five-time champions signed him in the trading window to strengthen.

Gujarat Titans made a memorable IPL debut in 2022, winning their maiden title under the leadership of Pandya. The last two seasons saw several youngsters coming to the fore while out-of-favour veterans also rose up and shone brightly.
