Rumours went viral claiming that Prabhas has donated Rs 50 crores to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir ahead of the temple's inauguration.

Actor Prabhas made headlines after it was claimed that he donated Rs 50 crores to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya will be inaugurated on Monday, January 22. The ceremony is expected to be a high-profile event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Bollywood stars, and sportsmen set to participate. While it is to see if Prabhas will be a part of the ceremony, a report went viral claiming that the Salaar actor donated a massive sum of Rs 50 crores to the temple.

To top it off, Andhra Pradesh MLA Chirla Jaggireddy claimed that Prabhas will be taking care of the food expenses on the inauguration day. While Prabhas is yet to react, a source from his team weighed in on the rumours. They told IndiaToday.in that it is fake news and that Prabhas has not made any such donation nor has he offered to pay for the food being provided at the ceremony.

For the unversed, the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Lalla within the temple is scheduled between 12:15 pm and 12:45 pm on January 22. Besides PM Modi, The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple inauguration will be attended by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and president of the temple trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. It is reported that over 7,000 people have been invited by the temple trust.

Meanwhile, on the work front for Prabhas, the actor recently treated fans to the first look of his upcoming film, The Raja Saab. The Raja Saab is dubbed as a horror-comedy with Prabhas playing the titular role.

Prabhas is fresh off the success of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film has already entered Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office and is ready to roar louder in the coming days. The audiences love Prabhas’s actions and performance in the film and the grand world of Khansara’s world very much. Besides Prabhas, the film features an ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapathi Babu.

Prabhas is also a part of a sci-fi film titled Kalki AD2898, directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie features Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. The release date is yet to be announced.
