The much-anticipated initial glimpse of Vijay’s upcoming movie, Thalapathy 68, was unveiled on Sunday through the film’s official social media channels. The striking first look showcases Vijay portraying dual roles, with the film titled The Greatest of All Time. The poster depicts both characters in uniform, with a younger version exchanging a fist bump with the elder one. A fighter plane hovers above, and a parachute is visible in the background.
The poster also highlights a quote “Light can devour the darkness but darkness cannot consume the light.”

Venkat Prabhu directs The Greatest of All Time, marking the maiden collaboration between them. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Mic Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu.
Archana, the producer, shared the excitement about the first look on her official social media account, tweeting, “Are you ready for #Thalapathy68FirstLook?”
Producer Archana Kalpathi dispelled the rumours on her official social media account last week, stating, “Just saw all the updates. Thank you for the love. Keep calm and wait for the real one very soon @vp_offl is cooking something special. It is not Boss or Puzzle. Happy Morning everyone. #Thalapathy68.”
The film is anticipated to be a time travel-themed movie, featuring Vijay in a dual role, including a 19-year-old character. In preparation, Vijay underwent a 3D body scan in Los Angeles in September. The film’s music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with Siddhartha Nuni as the cinematographer. Filming began in October, and Raju Sundaram was enlisted to choreograph a song.
This week, Vijay visited Tuticorin to provide relief materials to flood victims in Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts. He actively participated in the distribution, interacting with well-wishers and capturing moments through photographs. Vijay’s recent film was Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action movie, Leo, co-starring Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt, which achieved a domestic box office collection exceeding Rs 300 crore.
